I am working on a channel "reminder" app that will tune to a selected live tv channel at a configured time. As part of that I was looking through all of the current sessions on my server and was surprised to find an active one to my phone. I rebooted the phone thinking somehow a connection stayed open, when it came back up it still had an active connection with the current time! Questions: 1) Why is my phone connecting automatically to emby server without starting the app on my phone? 2) Will it also connect away from home when I am not on wifi? 3) Is there a way to disable this behavior? 4) What else (all mobile devices for example) will do this by default?
