Well, I've never seen this undefined symbol error before:

2019-03-12 15:13:42.659 Error App: Error in ffprobe

But I would suggest using the stable release by installing via freebsd ports.

There seems to be a version issue with the latest pkgs.

ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libx264.so.155" not found, required by "libavcodec.so.58"

But system is up to:

lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel       14 Mar 18 18:19 /usr/local/lib/libx264.so -> libx264.so.157
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  2089024 Mar 18 18:19 /usr/local/lib/libx264.so.157

And emby is up to:

lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel      14 Nov  4 01:55 libx264.so -> libx264.so.152
-rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel  818424 Nov  4 01:55 libx264.so.152

I went back 3 versions and they're all doing it. Didn't catch it earlier as I've been using the shield server lately.

Latest release seems ok.

Question now, are those libraries modified or could we just be pointing our symlinks at freebsd versions instead?

This will continue to happen anytime freebsd packages are updated and our downloadable package hasn't yet been updated to match.

The solution is to install via freebsd ports.

Absolutely. For those that use only the FreeBSD ports tree exclusively, the result is a very functional and stable machine.  I've been using the port (program) Synth to manage the building and installation of the ports I want to use.  Works rock soild.
