How to get ExternalChannelId for Live TV?

When calling /LiveTV/Channels or /LiveTV/Channels/{ID} the channels id and name is returned but not the "ExternalChannelId".

If you want to update a Series Timer using /LiveTV/SeriesTimer/{ID} to another channel it appears that you have to change ChannelId, ExternalChannelId and ChannelName in order for the change to stick. If you just update ChannelId and ChannelName then it does not. Where does ExternalChannelId come from?

 

Update: While the changes do stick it looks like some of the program info has to update also. Still working on it. My goal is to take a series scheduled on channel 1 and update it to record on channel 2 instead.
