ChrisJ60 8
I have been increasing the security of my server installation by assigning password to users. I have one (admin) user plus several regular users. I assigned passwords 9different of course) to each of them and verified that the passwords worked and that I have a safe copy of each of them in my password manager. Now I came to log into my server as my admin user and it keeps saying that the username/password is invalid (I am pretty sure that it is not invalid!). I tried the 'Forgot Password process but the IRL it gives me results in a quite strange looking web page. I enter the 4 digit code and click the button (labelled as ${Button Submit}) but nothing much seems to happen and my user is still unable to login. I need urgent help to (a) understand what happened here and ( to regain Admin access to my server... This is version 3.5 on macOS 10.14.3. Thanks, Chris
ChrisJ60 8
Okay, I managed to overcome this by restoring the entire ~myuser/.config/emby-server directory from a Time Machine backup from shortly before I applied the password. I have re-applied the password again (but this time I also have another Admin user). Let's see if it stops working again or not. Immediate panic over. Luke 37060
If you update to version 4.0, the issue with the password pin process has been resolved. Thanks.
