Is this consistent?

yes , is consistent.

I test emby_kodi with allow hardware acceleration again, It have pixelation  also,  disable hardware acceleration work fine.

Is there a similar option in emby_android_tv?

In this example, HWA is not being used on the server so it will make no difference.

Can you try this video in the web app? How does it compare?

  • Solution

What if you lower the in app quality setting to force it to transcode?

Since we are direct streaming the original video, this looks to me like a limitation of the box you are playing on.

I set quality to  1080P/5M (android tv), it work fine, The highest quality is 1080P/5M, Is there a way to set it higher?

In web app, The highest quality is 720P/10M

If you are looking at the in-playback quality adjustment, it will only show you values that make sense for the item you are playing.

If you go to the app settings screen, you can set the permanent default.
