Hey there,

since a few days emby didn't get the watched status after watching.

I allready repaired the database, but didn't get it to work.

What can I do further?

Kind regards

Thank you for the log. I'll look into a fix.

I imagine, you play something in Kodi, it doesn't show under active devices right?

For example :

I watch an episode, but after watching, the episode stays in status : new / unwatched.

In emby App btw it didn't get the Hook as watched episode.

Yes I understand. But when you play, does emby show active playback in the dashboard? I just want to confirm, thanks.

Yes, active Playback is shown in the dashboard. But only for 2 seconds. I took a Screenshot.

Playback is going on, but dashboard says i stopped it. Thats Not right.

Yesterday I found out that the same issue is with films.

In Dashboard they are also shown as stopped after 2 - 4 seconds.

Thx. I'll test.

Just started en Episode. Doesn't stopped in the dashboard like before till yet.

Will tell after episode is finished if it's marked as watched or not

Sorry, looked wrong.

In dashboard the episode just stopped in that second when it started.

The new version didn't fix it.

I'm checking your log and it's not looking good.

For now, you can switch back to stable, playback should work (you don't need to do a reset) and progress tracking should also work.

I'll let you know once I have something for you to test.

Actually, I noticed you are using LE 9.0.0. Can you update to 9.0.1 (which is Kodi 18.1)

Does the issue exists?

@@Angelblue05

Is this issue related to the one I posted about at https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/70385-emby-for-kodi-406a-playback-not-being-reported-to-emby/?

I'm updated to LE 9.0.1. I haven't been updating to the builds posted in this thread as I wasn't entirely sure it was related to the issue I reported about. But I'll update and post logs if it will help solve this issue.

Yes most likely.

So I tried the latest nightly for LE, I can't replicate what I'm seeing in the logs.. It works correctly with 4.0.12l (or 4.0.12k which is still available via kodi.emby.media)

@@Angelblue05,

Okay...updated to 4.0.12k. Switched back to Add-On mode and reset libraries. Unfortunately the Emby server still reports playback as having finished shortly after it starts even though Kodi is still playing the video. Logs attached.

Edited to add: After switching back to Native playback mode, Emby reports playback properly.
