Live TV Buffering and Lip Sync Issues on Roku only

I have an issue that only appears on Roku systems, and it is the same on my Roku TV on firmware 8.x as on my two Roku 3's with firmware 9.x.

Live TV is constantly buffering / reloading and when it is playing, the lip sync is way off.  What should I look in to for settings?

I have two servers, one is Windows 10 and one is Synology DiskStation, and both are current with their versions of Emby Server, and the issue occurs no matter which server I use.

I have an HD Homerun Prime tuner as well as an IPTV feed, and the issue occurs with either type of TV source.

In addition to Rokus, I now have some FireStick 4Ks, and the TV plays perfectly on the Firestick Emby App.

I have also tried the release Emby app and the Beta Emby app for Roku with no difference.

Thanks.

Hi - thanks.  Meant to initially share the logs, but Roku's haven't been turned on since I posted this in part due to this issue.  Will do so tonight.

OK, here are some logs.  I rotated the logs and started Live TV on an IPTV stream channel...  It played for a couple of minutes before what I will call buffering and getting stuck on the "Loading" ROKU screen with no image or sound for a while.  I then backed out and went to an HDHomeRun tuned channel that loaded and buffered a few times and was out of sync audio to video within a bit.

I redacted some stuff in the server log file and posted two fmpeg logs generated from about the same time.

Thanks.  Since I started this thread I hadn't come back to ROKU, but my FireSticks have been perfect.

All of the below threads are about Roku audio losing lipsync:

Both of your logs show Emby is copying both video and audio streams. This means there is absolutely zero chance timestamps might be getting off by an audio conversion. You are copying audio to the Roku. The link above is where others have the same issue you, I, and others experience with certain combinations of mpeg2 and ac3. Roku will eventually solve this. Until they do all we can suggest is to use "Playback Correction" in the app(you can use it more than once) until transcoding occurs. Once Emby/ffmpeg controls the stream entirely the Roku has no choice but to obey. But even then it might fall out of lipsync. This is completely a Roku issue. Please refer to the threads above. Thanks. :)

Thanks for the link - I will check out that thread.

I don't know if those log files are telling the tale properly then since I can not decipher them, so I made a video just now to show how the actual experience is.  The video starts with the show (re)loading, it eventually loads again, and then when the announcers faces are shown while they speak you can see the voices are off.

This is a ROKU TV with firmware 8.2 and Emby Beta app, streaming IPTV off a Windows 10 Emby server 4.0.2.0.  The same setup from logs posted above. Thanks.
