Sammy 735
Since there's not an OS sub forum here it is. As I no longer use WMC and therefore don't necessarily need Win7 what's the best upgrade path without doing a completely new installation and having to re-do everything? I've googled around and have found some good resources but figured I ask here too. TIA
PenkethBoy 2063
i upgraded my win7 to win10 (3 years ago) - the experience will depending on if your hardware is supported by win10 - there was a compatibility check program from MS - or its part of the upgrade process - cant remember it will work fine - but i then I redid the install from scratch after playing with it a bit - removed all the old stuff hanging around win10 was a bit quicker with a clean install - but not necessary to do this and unless its changed an upgrade can be rolled back to w7 - although have never tried that YMMV but backup/image your OS drive before you upgrade Oh and it will take a long time to happen with numerous reboots - so expect a hour or three for it to be finished
