1.7.4 issues on iPhoneX

Folks,  I'm new to Emby, but I'm converting from Plex.

 

4.0.2 on FreeNAS, 1.7.4 on iPhoneX (iOS 12.1.2)

 

I'm enjoying the system so far, but have noticed a few issues.  I am trying to determine if my wife will find Emby an acceptable replacement as she is not happy with Plex.

 

When I play music, many times the bar at the bottom for what you are playing disappears... music continues to play.  If I lock the phone, sometimes I can get the player controls and be able to stop the music.

 

Also, I can even swipe up and close the app, and the music still plays.  Open Emby and the music still plays, but is not shown in the app.  I chose to cast and then the audio controls showed up and I was able to stop the music.

 

I have also experienced where the audio controls were showing a song that was playing previously, but not the current song.

 

Are these known issues, or am I the only one having these issues?

It was not while casting or playing locally from the device.

 

It's been pretty solid for me since that first day...and hasn't done it again since.  Emby was still scanning my library, so I wonder if that had anything to do with it?  Scanning wasn't taxing my system or my internet capacity, so it shouldn't have been resource load...

 

I haven't been using it heavily, but it seems to be working as intended the couple of times a day I open it and start streaming music.

 

BTW: Emby did a much better job cataloging my music collection than Plex, so kudo's on that!

How were you playing?

Open Emby-> choose music library-> choose an album-> click play at top.  This would be streaming from the server as I had not downloaded anything to the phone yet and I was not casting.  The bottom bar showing what is currently playing, did not appear, but the music was playing.  I could navigate around the app, etc and it would never show up.  The only way to stop music playback was to lock the phone, and the unlock screen would show iOS audio playback controls.
