some smaller issues I've found with Emby Android

Hi there,

 

since I was sick at home this week, I had a lot of time to play around with Emby on my android tablet incl. chromecast.

First of all, it is working fine - but I have noticed some "behaves" of the Android app, which I want to document here:

 

1) Connecting to Chromecast
--> connect the emy app to your Chromecast, but do not start with a playback.

after a few minutes, chromecast and emby are disconnecting again.

Now, if you want to reconnect the chromecast, it will be listed twice in the device list.

 

2) Opening Media File
If I am opeining the Media, the App does show me the Media Information (Movie title, actors, description, etc.)
This will also be shown on the TV when the Stream will be sent to Chromecast.
In my case, the rotating circle appears, and stay .... no play option will be shown.
To Playback a Movie I need to tab on the Coverimage for a second and select Play from the dropdown menu which is then shown

 

3) During Playback, my Android device is turning the screen off.
After turning it on again (for Pause, or anything else) I need to go to the small "playback bar" in the Bottom (hope, that it clear what I mean??)
There, I have the play, pause, forward, backward buttons, etc.)
If I pause the Movie and stay in this screen, after a few minutes, the device is turning the screen off again.
Now, I want to continue - I swith the device on, and within the Screen, the Play-Button is gone - but there is only a green elypse visible.

 

If needed, I can try to create a few Screenshots for these topics...

Hi there, thanks for the feedback. We are working on improving #1.

 

For #2, where exactly is there no play button?

 

For #3, are you saying you want the mobile device screen kept on while you're casting?

I will try to provide some screenshots.
Only need to reproduce it again.

Unfortunately, I don't know, if I will have the time for it until weekend.
