This has been happening over the last few weeks, where I watch an episode but it shows up twice in trake as "2 plays". But yesterday it showed one episode as having been watched 65 times!

emby server Version 4.0.2.0

trakt plug-in: 3.3.0.0

See the screenshot below (it goes to another page, I only attached page one).

Last night's was TCL built-in Roku, and I believe that others were as well (but not 100% sure)

My trakt is also doing something weird, it's been like this for probably over a year. It just adds 'watched' to my Trakt history completely randomly (without me doing anything) - it used to just be a couple of shows (3-4 episodes over and over again) but now it's a few shows and today it threw in a movie - really weird.

Primarily use ShieldTV emby for AndroidTV running

@@phi303 are those episodes that you have in your emby, or not? are they watched in emby? which ones are they? Can you turn on debug logging in emby AND in the trakt plugin (for your user) and send a new log? Thanks.

@@mptpro I have noticed that on every sync in your log it says "Info Trakt: Episodes to set watched: 3". That would be a strange coincidence. The problem is, successful syncs in not logged by default, only errors. You have to enable debug logging in emby AND in the trakt plugin (for your user), and try to catch it again. Thanks.

the episodes that do show up are indeed in my library, they are marked as watched but it seems every 24hrs the Trakt plugin adds them to my watched list. I've been manually clearing them off of my profile so only one cycle has happened in the last 24hrs, screenshot:

I totally spaced on the debugging log, I'll turn it on tonight and report back - it's bound to happen again tonight.

Mine is still duplicating watched status about 80% of the time. After every show I watch, I go to trakt/history to see if there are two instances of the show. If so, I remove it.

PS any luck with my logs I uploaded above?

How does this compare to what the server dashboard activity log says? for example, does that say you stopped playback of something four times?

The Activty Log in the Dashboard is not gioing far back enough so I can't tell if it stopped-started more than once. But I fo sure didn't start-stop the "Star War Resistance E1" 40+ times.

As for the trakt logging, I did have it turned on - is that a separate log file, or included in the emby log?

thanks!

So here's the trakt history:

the report:

seems to be adding it when trakt syncs:

trakt settings:

no idea why it's adding those four episodes everyday. it used to add a handful of Archer episodes too and the other day it added a couple of movies - really very strange.

log is also attached.

EDIT: it seems to happen every time "Sync Library to trakt TV" is run. I just did a manual run and now it's doubled:

@@phi303 I found a common sign:

An episode is normally defined by the ID of the series, season number and episode number. There are 8 episodes in your emby that are instead defined by an episode ID.

Three of them have a watched time, so they are okay.
{    "watched_at": "2019-01-19T07:45:55Z",    "ids": {        "tvdb": 6971578    }}

{    "watched_at": "2018-05-11T03:27:55Z",    "ids": {        "tvdb": 6463065    }},

{    "watched_at": "2019-02-12T05:38:19Z",    "ids": {        "tvdb": 6943841    }},

But 5 of them don't

{    "ids": {        "tvdb": 6937335    }},  https://trakt.tv/search/tvdb?query=6937335

{    "ids": {        "tvdb": 5691921    }},  https://trakt.tv/search/tvdb?query=5691921

{    "ids": {        "tvdb": 4276845    }},  https://trakt.tv/search/tvdb?query=4276845

{    "ids": {        "tvdb": 4276847    }},  https://trakt.tv/search/tvdb?query=4276847

{    "ids": {        "tvdb": 1074921    }},  https://trakt.tv/search/tvdb?query=1074921

One of them does not exist, not on Trakt, not on TvDB, so I'm not sure where the ID came from.

The last 4 are the ones from your screenshot.

I think this is a combination of the trakt plugin not recognizing it's already been played (because of episode ID), and because the play (watched) date in emby is not set, trakt sets it to now.
I'll see what can be done about that.
