cd01 8
Hi, I am really bloating my Emby install cause i really love the software you have created, i have added my rather large library of pictures to try things out. The picture library is over 4 million items, needless to say everytime i scan it takes a long time to finish, however i have not noticed any other issues having this mega large library in the index which is great! A feature i would love to see is something where i can specify a custom cronjob for scanning this library separate from the other ones and exclude this library from the regular scan. I still want to scan all the movies and series every 12 hours to keep the index rather up to date but i really do not want to scan 4 million pictures library every 12 hours as i believe it will wear down the hardware rather quickly (?) Thanks for the great work you're doing, emby rocks!
Luke 37060
Hi, yes you could do this with the api if desired. Thanks.
cd01 8
Hi, yes you could do this with the api if desired. Thanks. Could you elaborate how i would go about doing this? I cancel the built in scans and then call the api to trigger scans specifically for each share? Thanks!
Solution Luke 37060 Posted February 11, 2019 Solution Share Posted February 11, 2019 I would suggest exploring our api documentation: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/wiki Thanks.
