Hi!

I have use your's Emby media server for a long time. I didn’t care about ads and options that were not available. I used this service only for myself....

Why u disabled transcoding with GPU? it fully changes the performance of your server, globally clipping its functionality.

 

I do not think that you will return this functionality to the free version (but I do not see reasons of buying the paid version just for personal use, sorry), you can tell me, in which version you have disabled this functionality? (I will install the previous version). thx

Hello!

I need ur help, again.

 

I have:

OS: Ubuntu Server 18.04 (amd64)

Video Card: Nvidia GT 1030

Emby Media Server 3.5.3

 

I do:

1. Install Ubuntu Server OS on my PC (from official repository)

2. Install ffmpeg and cuda

    2.1 apt-get install g++ freeglut3-dev build-essential libx11-dev libxmu-dev libxi-dev libglu1-mesa libglu1-mesa-dev linux-headers-$(uname -r) ffmpeg 

    2.2 apt-get install cuda-toolkit

3. Install emby media server 3.5.3

4. Enable Nvidia nvenc encoding option in Emby Server settings (and enable all chechboxes in this applet)

5. Play any video from web-interface  (with use encoging 1080p -> 720p)

 

And my CPU used on 100% encoding with GPU not work (

 

What i do in not corrent? Maybe have a detailed instruction? Thx!

I apologize, but no, in Emby Server 4.0 this requires Emby Premiere. We have worked extremely hard on it, and we thank you for your support.
