Missing Jump Forward?

We have the circle with the left arrow on the remote that lets you jump back like 15 sec.  Play and pause (do as expected).  And the >> button that, not sure, but doesnt seem to do anything.  The only way i seem to forward thru anything is to press the down button go to the graphic time display and then fast forward.  And that requires some quick fingers to not fast forward too far.

So i am making an assumption that (having tried all the normal buttons on the remote) there is no quick like 15 sec jump forward feature.  I would be positive that i am missing something here!

Please enlighten!

Thanks in advance (huh kind of a pun this time around)...

Got a 5 hour infusion today so i might just be goofier than a pet raccoon!

(I'm using the beta, but think i was left scratching my brain bucket with the official release before i switched)

While the video is playing you should just be able to use the d-pad and press left or right (or the ffwd or rwd buttons). It will bring up the trick play bar. From there you can see where you are going if you use the Roku BIF plugin to create BIF files. When you use the OSD you lose the trick play bar that shows BIF.

Side-Note: your avatar, like me, you also have MS? Goofy comes with the territory. :)

Yah speechles, its the gift that keeps on giving my friend!  But a topic for PM as i dont want any crazy moderators shutting us down!  :D

I'll give the ole remote another work thru.  Just a quick 15 or 30 second jump forward is all i'm looking for.  You know to skip opens of TV shows.

Thanks for your never ending wisdom...  And keep on fighting the fight!  (Hit you up on PM, at some point)

Yep, guess the simplest solution, using the D-Pad right and left, was overlooked on my part...  Works fine!

Thanks!
