I received my intel nuc i5 coffee lake and installed ubuntu server on it. At first, I was experiencing the same packet loss (in a lesser degree). But I was able to fix this by tweaking the the linux network stack. I basically increased the network buffers size in /etc/sysctl.conf :
'net.ipv4.tcp_rmem= 10240 87380 12582912'
'net.ipv4.tcp_wmem= 10240 87380 12582912'
'net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling = 1'
'net.ipv4.tcp_timestamps = 1'
'net.ipv4.tcp_sack = 1'
'net.ipv4.tcp_no_metrics_save = 1'
'net.core.netdev_max_backlog = 5000'
With those settings, I tried recording 6 streams with 2 transcoded playback sessions and no corruption occurred.
I applied those settings on my ds418play just to see if that would fix this issue as well. Unfortunately, it did not.
I just wanted to let you know that. Maybe it could give you some clues about what is going on.
