Hello All

Following the successful development programme, the runtime now defaults to .NET Core on the beta channel for the following architectures:-

  • apollolake
  • avoton
  • braswell
  • bromolow
  • cedarview
  • x64

Other architectures are on the way, including support for XPEnology based systems. If you don't know the architecture of your system, you can use the following reference : https://www.synology...oes_my_NAS_have.

If you would like to join the beta channel, please take a look at the pinned post at the top of this forum. If you are already running a beta release on one of the above listed package architectures, please let us know how your getting on.

Best

- James

Hi, at this point, all of the platforms using .net core have been released.  You can just follow the instructions to install on our website:

https://emby.media/nas-server.html

Thanks.

Thanks for the answer. But I am confused. How do I get .Net Core on my device (DS218j)? I successfully installed Emby Server Package (4.2.1.0-1). But .Net Core is not working.

You don't need to worry about .net core. Is there something specific you're trying to accomplish? All you need to do is follow the install instructions on our website. Does this help?

Yes, I'm trying to install .Net Core on my device (DS218j). All the usefull information related to .Net Core and Synology leads here. It looks like Emby team has figured out how to install native .Net Core to Synology devices (not using Docker).

You'd have to check Microsoft instructions. We don't actually install it. It gets embedded into the server.

Thank you for your help. I have successfully installed .NET Core 2.2 on DS218j from here https://dotnet.micro...dotnet-core/2.2 (Linux ARM32)
