Coxeroni 26
I use the (beautiful) German language as my main library language, but the German articles (Der, Die, Das) are not treated equally to the English "The" and are therefore not ignored for sorting of movie titles. Example: The following movies are sorted under letter D: The Dark Knight Der Pate So my question/request is, if it is possible to ignore the foreign articles for sorting in the same way as the English variant as a standard option. I assume this is possible by hand via the metadata editor, but frankly I am not keen on editing all the mediadata by hand if possible.
ebr 14903
Hi. Yes, we should probably have better knowledge of this built in. For now, you should be able to achieve this yourself by shutting down your server and editing the config\system.xml. Look for the section with "SortRemoveWords" and add in entries for the ones you want. Then save and re-start your server.

familiezufall 1
Luke 37007
HI, after changing SortRemoveWords in the server config file, you need to refresh metadata on existing titles. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
familiezufall 1
yes it helps.
