katsikhs 0
Hello everyone, I am testing Emby to see if I could use it to replace my previous media server installation, and so far everything seems fine, except for one issue I am having with one specific tablet. This is an old low-spec tablet (LG V490) that I occasionally use to watch TV shows, and I am only getting audio, and a black screen. The OSD displays fine, and the screen displays the beginning of the video for a fraction of a second when playback starts, but after that it's pitch black. I have tried with different videos and quality profiles, but it's always the same. If I use an external player (e.g. VLC), the stream plays fine, but I don't have seek functionality and resuming from where I left off seems to be hit & miss (mostly miss). I have tried disabling HW acceleration from the developer options as suggested in other threads, but the result is the same. Example of files that display this problem: Media Info Video Title720p H264 Codec H264 AVC Yes Profile High Level 31 Resolution 1280x720 Aspect ratio 16:9 Interlaced No Framerate 23.976 Bitrate 2,302 kbps Bit depth 8 bit Pixel format yuv420p Ref frames 1 NAL 4 Audio Title AAC stereo Default Codec AAC Profile HE-AAC Layout stereo Channels 2 ch Bitrate 192 kbps Sample rate 48,000 Hz Default Yes Container mkv Video Title 480p MPEG4 Codec MPEG4 Codec tag XVID Profile Simple Profile Level 3 Resolution 640x480 Aspect ratio 4:3 Interlaced No Framerate 25 Bitrate 1,119 kbps Pixel format yuv420p Ref frames 1 Audio Title Dolby Digital stereo Codec AC3 Layout stereo Channels 2 ch Bitrate 256 kbps Sample rate 48,000 Hz Default No container avi Any help would be greatly appreciated. Luke 37060
Hi, what version of Android does this run? Is it only happening on mpeg4 videos?
katsikhs 0
Hello Luke, It happens on any video I've tried. The tablet is on Android 5.1 I'm not sure if any logs from the device would be useful to you. Thanks!
