vaise 304
They seem to be alphabetical. I have put z- in front of the least important, x- of the next and so on. Be nice if I could use real names and order them myself.
Luke 37049
What kind of order do you want to do?
vaise 304
Any order I wish - much like the user profile screen where emby stuff for users can be re-ordered, I would like a 'user' screen where I can order them users accordingly. Its a nice to have - this only affects my lounge room, my media room, and a number of remote family houses where there are multiple users on the same house. To make this perfect - but rather complicated, I would like to flag 'users' to 'devices' - but that is prob taking this a bit too far. That would mean the remote devices would only show the users I have allocated to them. Maybe allowed to list all once, then when they 'appear' in emby server, you can lock them down then ? Luke 37049
Ok, I was just asking because it is on our to do list to have all apps auto-highlight the last used user for that device, just to help save you time. So I was wondering if that might be close enough to what you need.
vaise 304
That sounds promising. That would come close for a few locations, it would certainly help me personally at home as me and the wife share a user, and we use it more than the kids in the lounge room. It is certainly a big step in the right direction, but being able to manually control it by device would be nirvana.

MidKnight 15
To add to this. I only use the manual login for all accounts, and all accounts are set to hidden from login screen, except for a few of the home accounts, example lounge, bedroom etc... Could we have some option that accounts are display only on local, but still hidden from remote?
Luke 37049
Could we have some option that accounts are display only on local, but still hidden from remote? You already can restrict remote access from individual users. have you tried that?
MidKnight 15
Yes I know that, but some of these accounts I still remote access. I just want them shown when on local TV so multi users using the same TV can simply click there login name. But for any remote access I want those usernames still hidden. vaise 304
@@MidKnight - Do you mean all users are hidden remotely on your system, and the users have to key in their user name manually each time they login ? If I am reading that correctly, the keyboards on many of my remote apps are not very good and that would be a right pain for them.

That would work for me for the houses where there is just one user - but the ones where there are two - they would be keying in all the time..... painful. MidKnight 15
They shouldn't have to, I have 4 users shown on login screen, and all that's needed is to click on the username.

Luke 37049
Well your requirements are different than his, it's just different options for different people.
vaise 304
Sounds like being able to flag specific users to remote devices is a way to go.....

There is an open feature request for this. Thanks. Profile visibility different within LAN than from WAN
