3.0.316.0 - is there a way to remove "Playlists" and "Collections" from top view?

Hi folks,

Since the last (beta?) update, the viewing / browsing order seems to have changed. I was using "Legacy Browsing" that seems to have caused a mess in this version; so I set it off and things went back to the way they used to be - except that now I have two tree-top items I can't remove: "Playlists" and "Collections". Both are empty.

Is there a way to tell Emby for WMC to not show them?

Thanks!

Thanks, @ebr.
I feel a bit stupid now,   but perhaps only half stupid. I can remove "Collections", but not "Playlists". Can that one be removed as well?

Both, btw, have appeared just recently, either with the auto-upgrade to server 4.0.0.2, or with the (manual) upgrade to Emby WMC 3.0.316.0.

Playlists can be done using user preferences in the web app. Just click your user icon in the top right.

Try removing them from your server library configuration.

Okay, stupid I am :D Thanks!!

(Just shows how long I've been out of touch with Emby config - it "just works".)

Curiously, my trigger for this thread was actually this, which I (wrongly) attributed to the (beta) change in client, and in fact seems to be related to the server version 4.0.0.2.  (I was using legacy folders view -> was not seeing these -> enter client update -> I got my view broken -> "fixed" it by disabling legacy view -> started seeing these...).

How about "Live TV" which appears on the EHS and I would never use it in EMC, can it be removed from the EHS in EMC?

Remove access to Live TV for the user in question.

Thanks since there is only one user ME, I may just try to do that. Have not tried to use the Live TV feature in Throg's themes but in WMC you have Live TV anyhow if one cares to watch it.

I'm pretty sure EMC was trying to exclude that library before.  Something must have changed in the way it was identifying it so I'll have to look at that as well.

Both the ordering problem and the Live TV showing up are related to the legacy browsing option.  I'm afraid, at this point, that option simply needs to go away because the server doesn't support it anymore.  "Legacy" simply became too legacy :).

Beta 317 should fix these issues.

Is it advisable then to stay at version .317. I just would like a version that works with EMC and Throg's themes as my use is exclusively for my home theater and the HTPC. Once I get a version running I don't need any additional enhancements as it used exclusively for my home theater. My backup HTPC runs fine with MB 2.6*, Throgs themes but is a slow 2 core Intel processor.

Sorry, I don't understand that question as 317 is the latest beta of EMC...

Sorry but I was on .316 updated to .317 as well as the server version 4.0.1.0 that was just released. The sort order on the EHS was corrected as well as the Live TV is no longer appearing on the EHS, thanks.
