jasonwilliams 29
Hello, I haven't been using playlists for a while because of the problem with ET for Xbox with large lists. I went to try and play today and noticed that all of the playlists have been reduced to about 40 items. Has anybody else seen this happen and is there a way to recover? Happy2Play 8138
Do they appear this way in the web client?
Luke 36878
Where exactly do you see this?
jasonwilliams 29
All clients show the same playlist content. For example, I had a playlist with almost 2 days worth of music that is now showing 2 hours. I use the backup tool, but it only keeps 5 backups and this appears to have happened quite a while ago. jasonwilliams 29
I go to hamburger menu --> Playlists then click on the ... on one of the playlists.
Luke 36878
Try refreshing metadata on one of them.
jasonwilliams 29
Refresh metadata made no difference. I also checked to make sure the actual music files are still in the library and they are there.
Luke 36878
Make sure they're in the library using the exact same paths as what is stored in the playlist file.
jasonwilliams 29
How do I view the playlist file? Is it in appdata somewhere?
Happy2Play 8138
How do I view the playlist file? Is it in appdata somewhere? Well technically it depend on your install, but default location would be appdata. \Emby-Server\programdata\data\playlists Edited January 13, 2019 by Happy2Play
jasonwilliams 29
Thanks Happy. Found it. It seems the songs are entirely missing from the playlists. The good news is I found a backup that still has them, however when I copy the playlists from the backup (overwriting), the songs still do not appear in ET. Am I missing a step to restore them? jasonwilliams 29
Some of the songs have appeared, but still doesn't show all. I did check the paths and they are valid. Edited January 13, 2019 by jasonwilliams

jasonwilliams 29
After clicking Refresh Metadata, the songs are appearing. Very thankful for all the help! I'm not sure how my playlists were truncated, but things appear to be working now.
