Nvidia shield - sort by year? -feature request

I'd really love to have the option to sort movies by year. It seems I used to be able to do this with emby theater but it is missing in all clients I use. Is this currently possible still or would it be difficult to add that functionality?

Sort by Premiere Date and Date Added are already in this app....
