Similar to another recent post, I have setup the Google service for Emby Home, for the first time.

I have not changed my local or remote ports; it is still 8096.

My router has the correct port, 8096, open on the WAN.

I have Emby Connect setup online, and for my User in Emby server.

I can access Emby server internal and external on my Android and local workstations.

I have gone into my Google Home app on my Android phone and linked the 'Emby Home' app successfully.

Every time I attempt a command such as "Hey Google, Ask MB Home to play x", Google Home responds with:

"Emby home isnt responding right now. Try again soon"

I have linked and unlinked several times with identical results...

Thanks.

Hi there, have you verified remote connectivity with Emby apps? That would be a good thing to test before moving onto Google Home. Thanks.

Hi Luke. Yes, remote connectivity is working.

Ok, we'll see what @Angelblue05 thinks. Thanks.

@Fancy_Pants

Can you retry and tell me exactly what you said and the time of the request, so I can find that request in logs.

Not sure what could be the issue, I have just redone the re-link process and don't face any error so I'll need to see the request. Thanks

Seems to be working now with no changes. Weird.

Maybe the request exceeded the 8 seconds timeout? That's the only thing I can think of that would generate an error at this time. Let me know if you see it happen again, but glad it's working now. :)
