Bit Defender causing Emby Theater to crash

Hi all,

 

I am new to Emby and offered it to me after some frustrating Plex experience for too long.

Anyway.

 

I am using Emby as a server on the go on my win 10 laptop.

Server is stable.

 

But the Emby Theater application (not the one from the windows store which cant connect whatever manipulations I try), keeps on crashing very frequently and randomly when navigating the UI.

 

This also happens when I try to navigate the app through the ios app on my phone.

 

Is this a common occurrence ?

How stable is emby Theater for other users ?

Right now I have been forced to fall back to the web interface because of the utter instability of ET.

 

All my drivers are up to date on a 1080 gpu.

 

 

As a bonus question is it possible to add an Emby shortcut to the taskbar ? Only an Electron shortcut will be placed there if trying to pin the program there.

Nevermind that, BitDefender was once again playing the "best security is to treat literally everything as suspect".

 

And was hiding it even more than usual ...
