blei 5
Today I ran Emby Theater (for Windows Desktop) and it required me to login again. Additionally all my settings I've set for Emby Theater were lost and I had to re-set them all again. I believe the same thing happened even for the previous update. Can this be fixed? It's fairly annoying to need to do this after every update. Edited December 23, 2018 by blei
Luke 37024
Hi, this isn't normal, and i haven't seen it myself, but I'll try to find what might be causing it. Thanks.

Luke 37024
Only once though, right?
blei 5
Only once though, right? The fact of the matter is, it's happened again. It's annoying when it happens. It shouldn't have happened at all. But no, it didn't happen just once. After restarting Emby Theater multiple times, it continued to face the same issue. So I followed my previous process of fully uninstalling Emby Theater, and then reinstalling. Please fix this issue. It is extremely annoying when this does happen. blei 5
Apologies for the disruption. Thanks for the feedback. So is anything going to be done about this? Or are you just going to leave it as-is to happen again?
Luke 37024
There's nothing in the app's code that would cause this, we would never intentionally make users login again because imagine the troubleshooting that would create. However, it is very possible that it's caused by changes in a library that we use (electron). The way it stores data could potentially change from one version to the next, and while it usually upgrades smoothly it's possible that in some cases it doesn't and you end up having to login again. I don't believe this is the norm or we'd be hearing more about it, but it wouldn't surprise if there are a couple cases here and there.
blei 5
I have a friend who uses Emby (free version, though) with Emby Theater, and he has yet to experience the same issue I have. I'm not too sure what's different besides the fact that I'm using Emby Premier Lifetime :/
veletron 8
Hi Mine forgot all the settings as well. This really should not happen. I was away at the time, so the Mrs was faced with a login screen on a system that does not have a keyboard. Really needs to migrate ALL SETTINGS on an update. Unfortunately, there are many, many other issues with the latest edition of Emby Theatre (at least for folks trying to use it with the NextPvr plugin). - EPG No longer fills with Logo's for shows (get a blank box) - Impossible to record shows whether currently showing or through schedule (both result in an eternal orange hourglass spinner) Everything still works fine via the web interface so it is NOT Emby Server and it is NOT Next PVR thats at fault! How do I revert to the previous version of Emby Theatre - this one is junk! Nigel Edited April 28, 2019 by veletron
