TiraelSedai 0
Hi. I have LG MT49s and one of the video I've downloaded from YT wasn't having sound. Video: VP9 Audio: OPUS stereo DefaultOPUSstereo2 ch48000 HzDefault: Yes I don't think my TV supports Opus codec. Plex was transcoding both video and audio, which wasn't ideal but it worked. SamES 890
I can play this one (VP9/Opus in a webm container) but DirectPlay fails and it falls back to transcoding. @@Luke, we may need to revisit this combination as it looks like DirectPlay is not correct. I suspect Opus is a problem. I remember testing Opus on Roku but I believe I did look at this on LG as well at some stage so not sure why it is a problem now. https://github.com/google/shaka-packager/blob/master/packager/media/test/data/bear-320x240-vp9-opus.webm Can you provide the full MediaInfo or even a sample file? Is your file webm? Edited December 24, 2018 by SamES
TiraelSedai 0
Sorry, I already deleted the video. Your sample is not playable on any device (including in VLC on PC\Win)
SamES 890
OK, I've previously checked Opus on Roku and Tizen, but not web0s. @@Luke, for LG, the canPlayType test for 'audio/ogg; codecs="opus"' passes, but my test files with opus audio don't play so I expect it is not really supported. I'll push a change for this.
