goetze 1
I'm using a TL-WDR3500 router and cannot seem to access my files remotly. I have tried every config option I can think of with the router sofware and I have disabled my software firewall with no luck. Hoping someone here knows a solution. c0m3r 95
Trying to access them how? Through the web client or in MBC/MBT?
Beardyname 194
As far as open-port's go you can use this tool: http://www.canyouseeme.org/ And as far as port forwarding go: http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/TP-Link/TL-WR340G/Utorrent.htm But instead of the ports they are using there, use whatever you have setup mediabrowser to use (standard is 8096)

Trying to access them how? Through the web client or in MBC/MBT? Sorry, that would have been helpful info. From webclient outside my network and android remote app.
goetze 1
OK got everything working from above. Now trying to get it working with my software firewall enabled (Vipre) and it won't let just open a port, it has to be associated with an application. What application do I need to allow? Beardyname 194
I'm assuming you are running this on windows and the .exe can be located in : C:\Users\UserGoesHere\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\System\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe
