@Luke I think I am an idiot, VLC works because it picks jap as the default sub which is actually english..... so selecting jap subs in emby works fine as well. Thanks for the super quick support but its a PEBCAK (problem exists between chair and keyboad) issue haha

The first english subtitle track is also nearly completely empty, so keep that in mind. I seeked through the whole video and there was only a little text in the first minute as well as the last minute. didn't see much in between.

Yea its a screw up on the rip the jap subtitles are english also. Those work fine and are quick in the web app to display.

Good news, I've solved this for Microsoft Edge, so now we can use it there again.

We are also working on getting this into Roku and Android TV.

We haven't yet brought this to Chromecast but it's on our radar. Thanks.

Any update on this? I noticed on Chromecast and Smartcast (integrated Chromecast on vizio TV) that activating subtitles lead to video not starting 80% of the time.

Turning off subtitles loads instantly and turning them back on is hit or miss afterwards... Would it be possible to have the video start subtitle-less and have them stream in when ready as I understand extracting them can be lengthy.

Can we please look at an example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue:

Thanks.
