aslaksonal 0
Looks like there was some discussion a year or so ago, but then silence. Anything that would improve the contrast between the subtitle text and the underlying video will be greatly appreciated. As it is, the subtitles are largely useless. I'd vote for some font size control and some kind of background or major drop shadowing . . . Old eyes are ears will be appreciative. Thanks al
Luke 37060
What emby app? Several emby apps have font size and drop shadow control now.
aslaksonal 0
Where I use subtitles the most is on the Samsung Smart TV. I also stream to Roku, but don't use subtitles as much on that.

aslaksonal 0
Using our Samsung app? Yes - the latest Samsung app that fixed the series episode display problem. Also Roku uses the Emby app - I have both the released and beta apps installed.
speechles 1917
On the Roku you can use the Roku settings to change the Subtitle appearance. Tailor to your liking. All your Roku apps (including Emby) will respect your settings here.

I'll give it a try, but last time I looked, I didn't see those settings on my Roku sticks. al

aslaksonal 0
You should have some subtitle display settings available in the Samsung app. Two options for subtitles are offered: Preferred Language and Subtitle Mode. Server dashboard confirms "Emby Theater 1.0.52" for the Samsung TV. I see nothing that says "display". al

Luke 37060
It's tricky because we use a Samsung video player. We'll look into it and see what's possible. Thanks.
