plumcreek 0
AFAICT there are no packages available for the ppc64le architecture (I have an Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial ppc64le machine). I'd love to try and build from source, but build instructions seem to be missing. At least, I can't seem to find them anywhere. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks. Luke 37046
Hi, is there a mono runtime for this arch?
plumcreek 0
Yes, there's a mono-runtime package available in the repositories.

Luke 37046
Is 4.2 the newest available? We need at least 5.8.
plumcreek 0
For Ubuntu 16.04 xenial, yes, that's the latest version. For Ubuntu 18.04 bionic the most recent mono in the Ubuntu repositories is 4.6.2. This is regardless of processor family (x86_64, ppc64le, etc...). If you need at least 5.8, then I guess you're always custom building the latest mono runtime, at least on Ubuntu?
Luke 37046
No we use .net core as the first option on all platforms that support it. But I'm pretty sure there's no .net core runtime for ppc so that's why I asked about mono.
