Songs no longer in order

I use Emby Theater a lot to play music in my home. One to three weeks ago (not exactly sure when) album tracks no longer appeared in the right order; track 1 first, next track 2, then track 3, etc...

At first, if I hit "play all" when I was viewing the whole album the tracks would play in the correct order. Now if I do that, Emby will just play in a random order.

 

Because this started happening a few weeks ago I thought I might be because of a recent update to the Emby Theater. So, I installed 3.0.5, 3.0.3, and 3.0.2 on a different computer and it's doing the same thing.

 

If I use the web client or the Android app everything is how it should be. Since there haven't been any Server updates lately I can't help but think that I changed something but for the life of me I can't figure out what. Does anyone have any ideas?

If it is worth it - I am experiencing the same issue with the iOS app. The web client plays album songs in the correct order. The App does not.

I am having the same problem of songs in an album playing out of order. Using the Roku app and I have tried the latest beta too. This has been happening for several weeks and nothing I have found can fix it. Temporarily using Plex but I like EMBY better and keenly want to use it again. Thanks for your help. -Peter

Hi, so you're only seeing this in Roku?

Thanks Luke for your quick response. Yes I am only seeing this on Roku. The only other EMBY client I have is the iPhone app, and the iPhone app does play album tracks in the correct sequence.

Luke, this might help: The Roku app plays album tracks in a repeatable sequence, i.e. it plays a given album in the same incorrect sequence each time. It does not play a specific album in different random sequences. When you look at the album track list, the list is correct, but when you select "play all" it launches the album in a repeatable incorrect sequence.

Sure. Looking at this I think I see what is going wrong. I will come back to this we should have this solved soon. Thanks for reporting the issue. It is on our issue tracker and I will work on this issue immediately. :)

I just reinstalled EMBY for Roku and... Holy cow, it's fixed! Songs are playing in correct order again. Thank you so much!!!
