Can I get TV guide from NextPVR

I've been using the NextPVR plugin for a while now, and while it mostly works fine, the one annoying thin that keeps getting me, it that if I rewind of fast forward too far (ie past the start or end of the buffer), the thing seem to hang, and I have to quit out Emby. Obviously when I restart, I've lost the buffer of what I was watching.

 

Since I have a hauppauge tuner that Emby can detect, I've thought about moving away from NextPVR, and using the Emby DVR option, however that means I need a TV guide supplier. I find this very silly, but that's beside the point. Since I have NextPVR already getting the TV guide OTA, can I somehow get Emby to pull the TV guide from NextPVR?

If you Purchase the Emby Premiere you will have with Schedules Direct right now but if you have been pay attn to news with Emby ver 3.6 the Live TV Guide Data will be Included with Premiere so more need of Schedules Direct

Is that with LiveTV that your having problem with ?.

You dont get Schedules Direct with Premiere, as far as I'm aware, you have to pay for Schedules Direct separately.

 

Live TV guide is not included in Emby 3.6 if you live in Australia.

Far as I know, which isn't much, you can't use NextPVR and its plugin to provide data to TV provided by another method, such as the built in Emby Hauppauge tuner feature. Doesn't Hauppauge provide a guide ? not sure if you've tried it. Think you need to install WinTV for it to work, but not sure.

 

Alternatively you could maybe get an xmltv guide, such as mentioned here -

and map the channels (if necessary).

Thanks. That worked a treat. I just connected the xmltv to the xml link in that guide and got most of my channels.

If you have Premiere and you have Schedules Direct account and your WinTV device you don't need NextPVR to get the Guide

 

 

As I said with Emby ver 3.6 when with come out it will have it own Guide data directly from grace note See Click on Link
