The point is, I don't care what the "real" length is, I prefer the buffer time, most the time. If there was a way to toggle OR show both, that would be the best of both worlds!

 

It's not a buffer time. It's the end time of the current stream segment which just means it will fetch another segment and add that to the current end time. Streams are often broken up into chunks and it's just showing you how close you are to the end of the current chunk.

Ok. I (and probably many others) would love the option to see this. Please enable the option.

Isn't a visual buffer indicator along the progress bar the more common pattern?

That's how it is now, right? I don't want that to go away, however, would like the additional option that was discussed above. You can't tell how much is loaded the current way if there's only 5 or 40 seconds. It's nice to see, for instance, if you're In BFE, in spotty cell coverage what you have buffered.

 

It's the first thing I noticed when switching from Plex to Emby and thought it was so cool. Then, I paid for a schedulesdirect subscription, and it went away :'(
