Trouble with TV freezing on emby

Hello,

I have been working on solving various problems with emby in my home.  I have a lot fixed, but I am having trouble with one of the computers having the TV constantly freeze.

Here is some background.  I have 2 antennas with HDhomerun dual tuners on each.  I have a server running fine off one upstairs, connected directly to that computer, a laptop with wifi internet.  And in the basement I have another server and this is where the problem is.  I ran HDHomerun setup, it found the box and updated firmware.  This tuner is connected to the router, this is a desktop also connected to that router for internet..  On emby server dashboard I searched for the HDhomerun and it found just one, but it uses an IP address and HDhomerun setup uses the number on the tuner box.  Is there any way to determine if the computer has somehow connected to the other tuner over wifi?  That is what it is acting like, but there was only one HDHomerun box available on the dashboard.

Also, If I shut down Emby and watch through HDhomerun it works great.

Any help is appreciated, this signal is not watchable.  Let me know if there is anything in the server log that would help.

Thanks,

Doug

I tried something else and no difference.

I connected the HDHomerun directly into the desktop computer, and added a usb wifi to connect to internet.  I ran HDhomerun setup again and it found the same tuner.  I Searched for tuners with emby dashboard and it found a different IP address this time.  So I thought great now maybe it found the correct tuner!!  So I turned on TV in emby.

It is still not good.  Watching through HDhomerun is not quite as good this way but a lot better than in emby.  I will switch it back.

If the tuners are on separate networks then no it will not find the router connected to the other computer/router.

In the HDHR setup if you click on the link for a tuner it will take you to the web ui for that tuner. Which tuner(s) are you using? You say Dual which to me means one of the old original HDHR tuners. If it something newer than the old Dual - A Connect for example you can figure out the IP by clicking on "system status" in the HDHR web ui.

>>" Is there any way to determine if the computer has somehow connected to the other tuner over wifi?"

I am not clear which computer you are asking about.  But again if they are separate networks - no  If everything is on the same network and one of the routers is assigning your DHCP addresses for everything with the other router acting as just a switch/hub then it is possible.

Can you give us a better idea of your network layout? Better still a map.
