Spotta 6 Posted December 4, 2018 Share Posted December 4, 2018 Hi My HTTP has a BGT3650 Dual tuner and also a TBS6281SE Dual tuner installed. is there any way I can use either of these with the Emby Live TV function? I don't mind using a plugin as long as its not ServerWMC, as I'm trying to get rid of my reliance on WMC and Windows 7. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

markyp 21 Posted December 4, 2018 Share Posted December 4, 2018 So you’d need something to ‘drive’ those tuners like nextpvr or tvheadend etc... You would install that in your htpc and the the associated plugin on the server that emby is running on... Instal emby theater on your htpc and watch all of your media to your hearts content! Spotta 6 Posted December 4, 2018 Author Share Posted December 4, 2018 I suppose my question should have been - are any of the Live TV plugins nice and simple, I don't really want install another complete front end, but was after a nice simple plugin that would just present the 4 extra tuners to Emby alongside my HD Homerun for those occasions when more than 4 tunes were required without another complete setup with EPG etc. Recommendations welcomed. arrbee99 1559 Posted December 4, 2018 Share Posted December 4, 2018 Am far from an expert in this, but don't think theres any other way for those tuners to be added to Emby except via other software, such as NextPVR and the associated plugin to allow communication between them. NPVR seems to be quite small and works pretty well for most people. You do need to set everything up in NPVR and make sure it plays stuff OK before installing the plugin in Emby though. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
