email notification of new features each time my server starts

Hello,

 

First of thank you for this great application.

On the other hand I have a problem : every time my Synology server starts and Emby starts, I receive 10 emails from my own email address.

It must surely come from the mails plugin but I have not found the corresponding option. These are emails containing news of emby with new versions android, iOS, smarttv, freebsd etc ...

 

Do you have a solution to disable this spam?

You should just need to go to Notifications under Expert Settings, click the pencil icon next to the notifications you don't want to be emailed with, and then disable the email service from the "Use the following services:" section.

Thank you for your response, I have disabled notifications for "Update available application". I will see tomorrow morning if I still receive emails. To be continued...

I have the "new content added" notification enabled and have two services configured, email and slack. For new content added I have it set to slack only and left email unchecked, but I have been receiving emails for it as well.

 

Also I realized I have the " scheduled task failure" enabled and set to email only and leave slack unchecked, yet I found a message in my slack area about a scheduled task that failed as well as in my email.

Well, this morning after starting my Synology server I received a dozen emails again about Emby application updates:

You could try removing the notifications.db, as it could have become corrupted somehow.

 

It will get recreated upon restart of Emby.

Apologies. Looks like it's no longer used, as the one I have hasn't been updated since July, so I assume the contents are now elsewhere.

What I'll do is add an "Emby News" entry into the server dashboard Notifications section, this way you can configure the notification just like the others. Thanks.
