I believe I found a bug in the people screen. If an actor doesn't have the overview populated the backdrop image does not display.

Steps to reproduce

1. Add an actor that doesn't match anything in IMDB

2. Add a primary image and backdrop image and save

3. Observe that the backdrop image doesn't show and you see a gray background

4. Edit metadata and add a couple of random laters to overview and save

5. Observe that the backdrop is now displayed

Bug seems to be that without an overview this tag is:

<div id="itemBackdrop" class="itemBackdrop noBackdrop">

And once an overview is populated it becomes:

<div id="itemBackdrop" class="itemBackdrop" style="background-image: url(&quot;http://zeus.local:8097/emby/Items/11676/Images/Backdrop/0?maxWidth=2498&amp;tag=5e74aef844ef6f49141dd6d356178e57&amp;quality=70&quot;);">
Thank you

Hi, you're adding a backdrop image to people?

Yes I am. Also to note this used to work without having to have an overview before the changes made to the way people data is stored.

Yes I can reproduce the weird behavior with the steps above.  (used a person with no linked metadata)

other scenarios

A backdrop will not display without a Primary image. (person with linked metadata but no primary image)

Edit image person has metadata and primary image, add backdrop and delete primary image removes primary and backdrop.

Can not add backdrop when a person has just a providerid and primary image.

In my case, it is scenes from the movies they played in. I just don't like the grey background it's not as cools as the ones for movies.

I'd suggest to post this in the feature request area - as emby knows the movies of an actor and could show the existing (movie) backdrops.

Or maintain the backdrops for the current media you are clicking on the actor from.

Emby Theater already does this. Yes I think we should do this in all apps.

Sounds like you guys are going away from people backdrops but wanted to add that if you refresh a person, it looses all their backdrops even though they are still in metadata/people/letter/person. if you add a new one, it only shows the new one and not the old ones
