Can't get skill to work consistently, not sure what I'm doing wrong

So I have the skill set up, as I want to be able to play my daughter's music (set up in a separate library called Kids Music) on my echoes throughout my house.

When I ask Alexa to open/start m.b. home it responds that it is trying to get super mega baseball extra innings, rather than starting an emby session.

However, if I tell Alexa to ask m.b. home who is the active user, it tells me no problem, so I know that the skill is setup appropriately and is connected to my server.

I've trained my voice using the app, enabled and disabled the skill, etc. I've also tried it from my echo, and 3 echo dots, but get the same thing.

If I ask Alexa to ask m.b. home to play Music, sometimes it will play music from my server, sometimes it will play music from Amazon music, and sometimes it will just play nothing.

Ultimately, what I want to be able to do is to play just the music from the 'Kids Music' library on my echos, by saying 'Alexa, ask m.b. home to shuffle Kids Music.

Unfortunately, when I try that, it just plays a kids music station on Amazon music.

Can anyone help me understand what I'm doing wrong?

Sorry for taking so long to respond. begin m.b. home works.

Similar to the other thread, I'm trying to get my echo to play a playlist on that device, but emby keeps asking me which device I want to play it on (even though I have my echo as the default device). When I listen to all of my devices, none of my echo devices are an option, just other players around the house (my phone, my dlna tv, my xbox, etc).

Even when I say "Play the playlist Kids Music on this device", it still asks me which device to play it on (without the echo being an option.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Playing playlist is not compatible with playing on the echo itself because it depends on the emby server to generate the list of files to play. I have to add a workaround to make it work.

Ah, ok, that makes sense then. Is that a feature that I could request to be added in the future, or is it a limitation of the echo?

I just need to pull the playlist list in the skill. It's an extra step, but I will look to support this scenario.

Is this still active?  I am trying to get Google Home to play a playlist and it will not do it.

Thank you.

i am having trouble with playlists on Alexa Dots ..sometimes it conplains about the content being video based (think playlust is all audio). May be a red herring but i seem to recall a gotcha that sometimes old playlists did not have the [correct] playlist type flag set (if created prior to this flag's existence). Anyways could alexa devices advertise their features to emby eg audio only and emby transcde to ensure the media played...if i was in the middle of a family movie night i might still want to listen to movies audio whilst making a drink in middle of film.

edit i think i got ahead of myself..i think i just need  to be patient for platlist support.

eg ask mb home what playlists are available.

ask mb home play playlist myplaylist.

ask mb home what is currently playing [detail]. (return key info about current media..title0, artist, album, [album artist (if different), composer, appears in)]
