Playback error on web app

Hi,

I have read through multiple posts on this and could not find a solution to work for me, so forgive if i have just missed it.

I have emby 3.5.3.0 installed on freenas 11.2-RELEASE-p4 via the plugin. I ran pkg upgrade and installed the latest packages.

Any time I play media (tv shows and movies) using the emby addon for kodi, it appears to record the progress if i stop it mid way through (x% is shown on the tile) however if I try to resume the media it starts from the start, or if I watch other media the previous media marks as watched and then this new media has the same error that the previous media had.

I have not had this error previously when running freenas 9.10 with the emby plugin 3.3.1.0.

I have not been able to test this on the web app because I am having an issue with playback on it (see my other recently posted topic https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/65914-playback-error-on-web-app/ - not sure if these are related) and I have not tested on an emby app as of yet.

I can't see any runtimes in the media info on the web app and reports does not show runtime for any media. There is no runtime information in any of the nfo's that I can see either.

Not sure if it is relevant, but as part of the change to the new freenas release I changed from couchpotato and sickrage to sonarr and radarr and consequently renamed all my movies/series and perhaps updated nfo's too.

Here is my log.

Can you please help?

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you

Hi,

I have emby 3.5.3.0 installed on freenas 11.2-RELEASE-p4 via the plugin. I ran pkg upgrade and installed the latest packages. I am unable to play any files from the web app however I can play all of them through the emby addon in kodi on my PC and on my Wetek Hubs running LibreELEC. I have not been able to playback any files on the webapp since updating to this version of freenas and installing this emby plugin. All was working fine on freenas 9.10 with the emby plugin 3.3.1.0.

Not sure if it is relevant but I am also having any error with resume playback when I play media though the emby addon in kodi (see https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/65913-resume-in-progress-feature-not-working/ )

Here is my log.

Can you please help?

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you

Hi Luke,

Thank you for your response. There are actually 49 logs just from trying to play that one file. I'm not sure if this is right or not, but it doesn't seem it. I have attached the latest one, but I am happy to zip them all to attach if that helps?

Thank you

Hi Luke,

Thank you for your response. Yes you sure can, however could you please let me know what exactly you would like to see an example of? A screenshot of something, a log, or a video?

Thank you

Thanks for the tip. Only problem is that I am too much of a noob to follow those instructions... I am struggling! haha. I will keep trying and get back to you once I have gotten through them.

Hi Luke,

So I reinstalled emby using the first option (dhcp=on) in the link you provided, thank you. I am now able to play media files on the web app. The problem is now just through the emby kodi addon on my wetek hub. Only some movies and shows record status properly while some just mark the whole media as watched regardless of where it is stopped, and strangely enough some seem to record an incorrect percentage complete. Further to this I was unable to use the latest stable emby for kodi because it kept asking for my emby log in details every time i turned it on. Lastly, I keep getting a "Skin help service error" regularly. Please see my log in the link below for the skin help service error and the episode errors.

Let me know if there is anything I can do

Thank you
