Not sure whether to post in the Server or AndroidTV section so here it is.

Server 3.6.0.73 beta on Windows 7x64 Pro

AndroidTV 1.6.64g beta on ShieldTV

I started a recording about 10 minutes ago and then went to play back the recording from the "Recorded TV" section of Emby. Playback started fine from the beginning of the recording but upon hitting FFWD, the screen froze. AndroidTV Log sent about 5:30am PST and Server / Transcode Logs attached.

Maybe this is the correct place. Playback and FFWD and RWD works fine in the WebApp and Emby Theater but I don't use those too much.

That worked. Things seem a bit slow though. If I FFWD 1:30 or 2 minutes it takes a few seconds to resume playback.

Also, I think this was reported previously, but the progress bar doesn't match the actual time. 4b216fe4e043eacbb1fa97f905ba305a.jpg

So it IS server related. Maybe I'll tweak the new HW Accel settings and report back..

Things are looking good on beta server and AndroidTV right now.. maybe I put it in production to take advantage of the improvements!?

If I try to FFWD or RWD too far (5 minutes or so) it fails again.

AndroidTV Log just sent.

"It fails" means exactly what?

The picture just freezes. One time I had to completely exit the Emby App on my ShieldTV to get things right again.

Looks like you waited about 25 seconds before backing out - correct?

Try it again and let it sit and see if it ever starts going again.

I'm at work now so tonight or tomorrow morning. Either way, more than a second, preferably milliseconds is too long. I'm recording to a Samsung EVO SSD, BTW.

I understand but there are no errors in the log.  It just appears that it is taking a long time for the content to get going again so I want to see if that is the case.  Thx.

No errors in the log is a good thing.

Finding a way to speed this up would be a better thing!

Did you happen to forward beyond the current timeline?  When this happens you need to wait until the stream catches up to where you FF to.  It's a bug as you shouldn't be able to FF past the current timeline.

In the example I looked at, he was rewinding.

Anything that's currently being recorded can be FF past the current timeline which never used to happen.

This is what I was referring to. May or may not apply to this but is a current bug.
