Perun 1
Hi All I have a problem with my shares on XBOX One. I use them without problems on my Linux HTPC's but I cant use them from XBOX one Kodi. for example: I mount on the Linux a cifs share to /storage/srv and on emby I have a movie share that points to /storage/srv/movies. I cant use it in this form for XBOX One Kodi. What is the solution for this problem? Should I use in my emby share the syntax like smb://srv/movies ? Does something like that work? What about the credentials? Or should I define for XBOX One his own shares? If yes what a location syntax should I use for it? sualfred 677
For Xbox it's possible that you need a addon for smb support: Add-on Browser -> My add-ons -> Virtual filesystems -> "SMB support"+ you need the correct path substitution configured in your libraries of the Emby server + you have to add the server as smb path in Kodi incl. your credentials Or you just use the addon playback method which don't need direct access to the shares at all.
