pgriffith 65
Hi Since updating to 3.0.5, none of my media files will play past about 1 - 2 minutes (it varies, last two I tried were 1:35 & 1:05), and I'm testing on files I watched successfully yesterday. This is happening on 3 separate machines, running off Server 3.5.3.0. What's the best way to roll back to the previous version and prevent the update from happening again so I can start watching stuff? Cheers Edit... Found the xml and set auto update to false. Rolled back to 3.0.3 from system.old and everything is now fine, so definitely a prob with 3.0.5 Edited November 19, 2018 by pgriffith
Luke 36887
Can you provide a sample video for testing? Thanks.
pgriffith 65
Hi Luke It was EVERY single file in my library, they all did it, xvid, 264, 265, tv episodes and movies. I've since done a full uninstall on my main PC (where I don't really use Theater) and reinstalled 3.0.5 clean and it doesn't have the problem anymore, so it may have been the upgrade from 3.0.3 not happening properly? Guest asrequested
Everything plays fine, for me. But again, I'm using the Git build of mpv. What version(s) of windows are you using?
Luke 36887
And is windows up to date, along with all hardware drivers?

Guest asrequested
Luke, I'm wondering if this is similar to the issue with 3D MVC movies just stopping. Can you post an mpv log? https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/50975-how-to-enable-mpv-logging-for-theater/?fromsearch=1 Edited November 20, 2018 by Doofus
rikiwi 32
I've just noticed that all mouse support has stopped with this update when watching movies or recorded TV. I am unable to use the mouse when trying to skip past commercials etc. I use Theater in my lounge and control it using a mouse and don't have, or want, a keyboard in my lounge. Can this functionality please be reinstated ASAP.

Guest asrequested
Why do you think that? Symptoms are different, no? The common factor is that they are all stopping at the same time frame, just like with the MVC files. It may be something different setting it off, but the reaction to whatever is happening appears very similar. Without a log and more detail as to what exactly happens when playback 'stops', it's difficult to speculate, further.

Thanks. I Just downloaded both versions (3.0.3 & 3.0.5) and unzipped them to the desktop and ran both. 3.0.3 worked as usual with full mouse control. 3.0.5 has no mouse control but works fine using the arrow keys on keyboard. I'll try uninstalling 3.0.5 and doing a clean install and report back. No difference. Edited November 21, 2018 by rikiwi
