natsu 4
Found the Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 is 32bit only, not 64bit OS, oh my god, so all transcoding process is affected?
Solution softworkz 3301 Posted November 20, 2018 Solution Share Posted November 20, 2018 No need to worry, we are supporting 32bit OS as well. (the only thing we don't support is running Emby Server as 32bit on a 64bit Android OS) There seems to be a problem with the bitrates being set for the Qualcomm encoder. Could you please try with lower bitrates? E.g. in the web client > playback settings > video quality: Try lower bitrate settings Thank you.
natsu 4
Hi Softworkz, I've checked that the lower bitrate didn't solve this, and I've checked that same behavior on my HTC desire 820 which is Snapdrangon 615, thanks!
natsu 4
After Updated to 3.6.0.68, My HTC Desire 820 has the same problem, but the root cause is on the specific VIdeo file from the following URL: http://distribution.bbb3d.renderfarming.net/video/mp4/bbb_sunflower_1080p_30fps_normal.mp4 But when I use other video file under 720p, found the transcoding process is workable on MediaCodec, but the Snapdragon 615 should support 1080p of H264... For Samsung J5 2016 with Snapdragon 410, I've use another Android Phone with Snapdragon 410 (ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser 5") with no problem for the same 720p H264 video, after checked some information, I think that the Samsung ROM with knox has problem on some program running background...
