jbirmingham40 7
Whenever watching a sporting event which contains multiple audio streams, the Samsung app always picks the Spanish one regardless of the settings chosen in the app. My preferred language is set to English but I also tried Spanish and that did not impact the selection. I also tried with and without the use default audio option chosen. It seems as though the app is ignoring all of these settings. This occurs regardless of the channel chosen. In all cases it picks the Spanish audio stream.
schmitty 61
You need to disable ‘Always use default audio track’ in playback settings Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jbirmingham40 7
Unfortunately that does not fix it. With or without that checkbox selected I still get Spanish audio.
Luke 36997
Hi there @@jbirmingham40, can we please look at an example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
jbirmingham40 7
I investigated the issue further this weekend in an attempt to find something additional to share. I discovered in the process is that the issue does not happen if I record the program and then watch the recording. It only happens when I watch the program live. Not sure what I can capture during the live program to assist with the debugging. Please let me know what you would like. I believe I further traced the issue to an Emby client by confirming that I get English by default when I watch the same program live directly on the HD Home Run tuner (e.g. bypassing Emby). I also confirmed that the same program plays fine live when I watch it on the iOS, Androd, and web clients making this seem like a Samsung only issue. I further double checked this happen with or without the checkbox to use the default audio selected within the Samsung client and with or without English selected as the default language. jbirmingham40 7
I am unclear as to what you are asking me to provide. Can you be more specific? I cannot upload a video file, as stated in my prior post, as the problem only happens watching live tv. Reproducing the issue is as simple as selecting live tv on your Samsung TV, selecting a channel broadcasting a program in multiple languages (NFL football games all seem to be broadcast in English and Spanish), and note that the audio is in Spanish regardless of the playback options you select. If you need something more specific please clarify what it is that you need. Thanks.
