Some extra info: * Two new installs on different boxes experiencing the same behaviour (both android). An existing install (again android) works perfectly on the same server. * tried both kodi 17 & 18 and stable and beta Kodi plug-in - same behaviour * force transcode gives same behaviour * tried with default Kodi skin and Arctic Zephyr * sync on Kodi plugin works with no issues and I can see all files * Embycon can play all files no problem * trying to play with Kodi plugin shows spinning circle and no files play when played directly from the library or context menu. I’m not using widgets or hubs. Any ideas? Is it linked to the skin helper error that pops up and shows on the log? wvernon 3 Posted November 18, 2018 Author Share Posted November 18, 2018 I have tried upgrading the server to Beta to see if that fixes it but it doesn’t. I reset the kodi database to make sure everything was clean but now my library will not sync. My server shows up to select but I don’t then get the select user option. After 3-5 mins of appearing to do nothing emby then prompts for the playback mode and other options but doesn’t want to sync. If I go into emby options no server or user details are listed. Angelblue05 4130 Posted November 18, 2018 Share Posted November 18, 2018 (edited) Thanks for providing your log. When you did the reset, did you also say yes to resetting your emby user settings? It's not completing the authentication for some reason. Are you using emby connect to sign in? Let's focus on that and then your playback issues. From library not working? That's a first, but let's get your library synced first. Let me know if you reset your user settings when you did the database reset, if not, do that, to be safe. I then uninstalled the plugin and repository and then deleted the folders on android to make sure nothing was left behind. Unfortunately no different I don’t use Emby connect. Just select the server then my user and never had problems I rebuilt my database on the other android device that was working and that still syncs and plays fine. I managed to pin this down to the combination of wireless access points and power of ethernet adapters causing routing problems on my network.
