Hi all - I am new to Emby (just installed today) and I am having the exact same problems minus the NPVR plugin.  I have NPVR installed on the same machine (was what I was formerly using) but in Emby I've plugged the M3U and the EPG in directly.  At first I was getting the "no compatible stream" error all the time.  I then restarted the server, and some channels work... most of the time.  It takes about 5-10 seconds to load (which I can be fine with) but sometimes the channel refuses to load and you just see a "Spinning icon" on screen indefinitely.  I then got TruTV to work for about 90 minutes, then the channel just magically stopped.  I then tried to reload and spinning circle.  I tested on NPVR/Kodi right after, and this channel works fine.  My situation may be slightly different from the OP, but I'm having similar issues.
