Force https on WebApp

Hi everyone,

I use Emby for now 5 months and I love this soft.

I have recently remarked that the web app app.emby.media and tv.emby.media have a https configured, but also have http that do not redirect to https

Is there a plan to do a redirection to http to https ?

Hi, not until all emby servers have http, otherwise it will fail for those who don't.

For now you will need to make sure to use the https version of those apps. Thanks.

Ok, Thanks for your answer

Is there a way to implement a functionality that redirect the users on https if we have a server correctly configured on https (which is my case)

I suppose the app could check this and redirect, but once it redirects the browser to a new url, then at that point it becomes a whole new session and they'd end up having to login a second time. In other words, switching from http to https and vice versa, it's two different urls to the browser and they each get their own dedicated storage.

The plan is that one day all Emby users will have SSL and then we can force https all of the time, everywhere.
