Update event\schedule trigger

I am running on a raspberry pi and sometimes find that new content hasn't updated.

My raspberry pi is on 24/7, so just interested when the event/schedule is fired to update the library ?

I normally do an update but that takes a bit long because it updates all content and sometimes find just rebooting the raspberry and letting it trigger an incremental library update is quicker. Can I trigger a incremental update without rebooting?

You'd need to capture in your logs when you don't get new content. Updates to your library should be near instant, unless it's an actual library scan which may take longer. To test, open your webclient, edit one title's metadata, save. And check if it updates in Kodi.

You can restart the emby server via addon settings > advanced > restart service.

Thanks. Will see if I can get logs captured tonight when I am home.

If there a way to manually trigger the update instead of rebooting  ? Maybe something like selecting "Update Library" on the side menu in the Kodi skin ?

No, using update library will mess things up, do not use it.

In the addon, it would just restart the addon service, not Kodi.
