AJRames 0
Hello Guys, I'm new in the emby community. I have already kodi running on my PI and thining about replacing PLEX with emby. The most things are really fine so far with emby, but I've a problem by recognizing some music albums (the music library recognition is better in Kodi and PLEX). The specific problem is that some artists will be recognized, but then all the albums are shown in one random named album. Fortunately this happens not by all artists.... For example this path: \media\mountdir\Music\Rock\Punk\Ska-P (Ska-P is the artist). Here no album will be shown (There are more than 6 in this folder). I already searched for a Musicbrainz ID and put that ID to the artist, after a rescan the album aren't shown. I think there shouldn't be an issue with Album naming, because the other artists are named the same way and there it works... Any Idea what I can do? Thanks - AJ
Luke 37009
Hi, do you have album folders under the artist folder?

Luke 37009
can you give a complete example, and show screenshots to demonstrate the problem? thanks.
AJRames 0
Ok, see the attached files. One Shows the folder structure, the other Shows the artist in the emby App. Thanks
AJRames 0
Ok Problem solved. The problem was that there are too many subfolders... (Music/Rock/Punk, Music/Rock/Hard...). I added all categories seperate to the library and then it worked fine!
Luke 37009
Thanks for the feedback. We plan to improve our support for mish-mash folder structures in the future. Thanks.
