Hi All,

Setup :

Kodi : latest nightly

Kodi Server (docker) : 3.4.1.0

Kodi Companion : 2.0.3.0

Kodi Plugin: 3.1.33a

I have the problem that my sync and databse updates never finished.

If i start kodi it say with an popup that the last sync not finished  and want to add the new updates / also it want a resync of the database.

This will be interrupted after a few min or sometimes a bit longer with a pop up that an error occure and i should restart kodi. If I do the same pop ups come again (not finished want to resync and readd new content) if i accept this it will be interrupted again ...

Also tried readd database / repair and also setup all fresh :(

Anyone has an tip?

I don't know if this help, bit I've had the same issue earlier on an Android Box with CoreElec. The reason was a "glitch" in the Kodi database. Only a complete new installation of CE fixed it.

Yes comes a pop up after view min of sync - I have attached you that one.

I have reinstalled Kodi few times - don’t think that’s the problem! Also a few weeks ago don’t remember the version I had for emby - it worked ...

@@xsasx What hardware is your system running on? Are you using the same system for emby server and Kodi?

Have you tried to use the Beta Reposity (emby for kodi 3.1.4a)?

Nope the Kodi is a dedicated HTPC and Emby is on my OMV NAS

You mean Beta Server or client ? How can I update to it under docker if you mean a server beta ?

The only thing I can imagine now it have something to do with your environment.

Maybe it's something have to do with Docker or that Kodi don't respond to emby that the scan is finished, but that's something maybe

@Angelblue05 can figure out much better than I can.

Sorry xsasx, I wish I had more time to spare. I have looked at your log,was your server still working when the crash happened?

Can you try decreasing the paging values in the addon settings > sync? Try 1 download thread, and disable artwork caching. Maybe the sync becomes too intense for your server that it stops responding.

maybe try to run the emby server outside the docker environment. I assume you are using a self-made NAS (OMV) so maybe this hardware isn't fast enough or docker don't supply enough resources or bandwidth as needed.

Thanks for the server update on Synology. The preview pictures for categories are back :-)

not 100 % sure but I see improvements - must check detailed this week but decreasing paging values sounds promissing
